FOUNDER & CEO

SRISHTI PITHADIA, NOW A SENIOR AT TRUMBULL HIGH SCHOOL, IS A SELF-TAUGHT SOFTWARE DEVELOPER & SOCIAL ENTREPRENEUR. FROM THE MOMENT SHE RAN HER FIRST "HELLO WORLD" PROGRAM, HER AVID PASSION FOR COMPUTER SCIENCE HAS PUSHED HER TO PURSUE A VARIETY OF CODING LANGUAGES, PROJECTS, AND HACKATHONS. HAVING WON MANY AWARDS FOR HER MANY WEBSITES & APPS, SRISHTI HAD THE IDEA TO SHARE HER CODING-OBSESSION, TO CREATE TECHNOTEENS. IN 2017, SHE OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED HEAD-FIRST INTO THIS JOURNEY & HOPES TO USE THIS NON-PROFIT AS A VEHICLE FOR INSPIRATION & POSITIVE CHANGE.

DIVYESH PITHADIA IS A TECHNOLOGY EXECUTIVE AND ENTREPRENEUR WITH 20 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN LEADING DEVELOPMENT OF SOLUTIONS & PRODUCTS FOR FORTUNE ENTERPRISES, AS WELL AS STARTUPS. HE IS CURRENTLY HEADING TECHNOLOGY, DATA ENGINEERING & DELIVERY TEAMS AT DUN & BRADSTREET, MDR DIVISION. PRIOR TO THAT, HE WAS THE CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER OF CAPIFY, WHERE HE LED TECHNOLOGY STRATEGY, ARCHITECTURE & ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT. DIV HAS AN MBA IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS & AN MS IN SOFTWARE ENGINEERING FROM FAIRFIELD UNIVERSITY & B.ENG. FROM MUMBAI UNIVERSITY.

MICHAELA DURAND

DIRECTOR

MICHAELA DURAND IS A TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION SPECIALIST AT MADISON MIDDLE SCHOOL IN TRUMBULL, CONNECTICUT. IN THIS ROLE, SHE HELPS TEACHERS AND STUDENTS USE NEW TECHNOLOGY TO IMPROVE LEARNING. SHE CO-FACILITATES AN AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM CALLED S.W.A.T (STUDENTS WORKING TOWARDS ADVANCING TECHNOLOGY). THIS PAST SUMMER SHE RECEIVED A GRANT FROM INFOSYS FOUNDATION TO ATTEND A WEEK LONG CS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN NYC. SHE WAS TRAINED TO TEACH CODE INTERACTIVE'S EXPLORING CS CURRICULUM AND RECENTLY BROUGHT A TEAM OF TRUMBULL STUDENTS TO NYC TO PARTICIPATE IN A CODE INTERACTIVE HACKATHON.

STEFAN LYHNE-NIELSEN

DIRECTOR

WITH 14 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN PUBLIC LIBRARIES, STEFAN LYHNE-NIELSEN HAS A KEEN UNDERSTANDING OF THE NEED TO PROVIDE PUBLIC ACCESS TO TECHNOLOGY. IN 2015, STEFAN CREATED A 2100 SQUARE FT MAKERSPACE FOR THE DAYTONA BEACH PUBLIC LIBRARY WITH THE AIM OF GETTING IMPOVERISHED LOCAL NEIGHBORHOODS THE OPPORTUNITY TO INTERACT WITH 3D PRINTERS, DRONES, GREEN SCREENS & OTHER GIZMOS, AS WELL AS ACADEMIC AND IT DRIVEN CLASSES & MENTORING. THEREFORE, THE OPPORTUNITY FOR STEFAN TO SUPPORT TECHNOTEENS IS A PERFECT FIT BECAUSE HE FIRMLY BELIEVES IN THE GOAL OF EXPOSING YOUNG PEOPLE TO CODING AS FUN IN ADDITION TO PRESENTING IT AS A CAREER CHOICE.

KATIE MORTON IS CURRENTLY A SENIOR AT TRUMBULL HIGH SCHOOL. THERE, AMONG MANY OF HER OTHER VIGOROUS CLASSES, SHE'S RECENTLY TAKEN AP COMPUTER SCIENCE A TO HELP HER LEARN THE LANGUAGE JAVA, AS WELL AS TO GAIN PROFICIENCY IN CODING CONCEPTS. PARAM PITHADIA IS CURRENTLY A SOPHOMORE AT FAIRCHILD-WHEELER HIGH SCHOOL. AFTER SCHOOL, HE IS ON A ROBOTICS TEAM, AND IN THE MATH CLUB & COMPETITIVE SCIENCE CLUB AS WELL. HE HAS COMPETED IN VEX EDR, FLL, FTC, AND FRC, WINNING MANY AWARDS, AND HAS PARTICIPATED IN THE MAKER FAIRE, WINNING THE AWARD FOR THE BEST INVENTION. HE HAS ALSO TAUGHT ROBOTICS TO CHILDREN AT ALL OF THE TLC'S IN TRUMBULL AND AT THE TRUMBULL LIBRARY USING NXT AND EV3. IN HIS SPARE TIME, HE IS A BOY SCOUT WITH THE LEADERSHIP POSITION OF "GUIDE" IN HIS TROOP, HE IS ON THE THS VARSITY TENNIS TEAM, AND HE HE PLAYS GUITAR & DRUMS.

HARMAN UGRA IS CURRENTLY A SENIOR AT TRUMBULL HIGH SCHOOL. IN PUSHING HERSELF IN HER MATH AND SCIENCE COURSES, SHE HAS DEVELOPED A STRONG INTEREST IN THE STEM FIELD, AND IS NOT ONLY EAGER TO LEARN MORE ABOUT ENGINEERING AND INNOVATING, BUT TO EMPOWER OTHERS AS WELL. SHE IS VERY EXPERIENCED IN WORKING WITH AND TEACHING OTHER STUDENTS, SUCH AS SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENTS, TO BECOME SUCCESSFUL INDIVIDUALS, AND SHE IS VERY PASSIONATE ABOUT ENDING THE GENDER DISPARITY IN STEM. SHE HOPES TO ENTER A WORKFORCE IN WHICH INDIVIDUALS OF DIFFERENT BACKGROUND WORK TOGETHER AS EQUALS TO SOLVE SOME OF THE WORLD'S MOST PRESSING ISSUES WITH THE POWER OF TECHNOLOGY. THE EDUSTEM INITIATIVE IS AN INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOUNDED BY THREE GIRLS IN BELLEVUE, WASHINGTON TO BRIDGE THE GAP IN THE DEMOGRAPHIC DISPARITIES WITNESSED IN STEM FIELDS TODAY. EDUSTEM SEEKS TO EDUCATE, ENCOURAGE, AND EMPOWER RACIAL, GENDER, AND SOCIOECONOMIC MINORITIES TO PURSUE STEM BY PROVIDING A FREE, INCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENT TO GROW. TO DATE, EDUSTEM IS ON TRACK TO HOLD OVER 60 WORKSHOPS AMONG THEIR CURRENT CHAPTERS IN SEATTLE, CALIFORNIA, NEW YORK, AND THAILAND. THE INITIATIVE HAS PARTNERED WITH OVER 8 ORGANIZATIONS TO INCREASE THEIR OUTREACH AND IS INCREDIBLY EXCITED TO WORK WITH AN AMAZING ORGANIZATION LIKE TECHNOTEENS.
